Richard Piñero

Ministerial Director

As the Ministerial Director for the Oklahoma Conference, Richard Piñero has dedicated his life to guiding and revitalizing communities, infusing each day with purpose and unwavering faith. His journey as Ministerial Director, which started at the Georgia Cumberland Conference, has seen him take on numerous roles, from teacher and evangelist to pastor, prayer counselor, and Christian TV host. Each position has deepened his mission to inspire others and lead them to a meaningful connection with Jesus. For Richard, the driving force behind his ministry is found in Matthew 28:18-20 and John 17:3: seeing people thrive as they experience the grace and love of God is his greatest reward.

With the heart of a visionary, Richard dreams of empowering every congregation in the Oklahoma Conference to become a true haven for spiritual and emotional support. His goal is to facilitate the growth and revitalization of churches so that each congregation, regardless of size, becomes a vibrant beacon of community outreach, where everyone is welcomed and inspired by the love of Jesus.

Beyond his work, Richard treasures the simple joys of life. He loves to spend his time with family and friends, watch sports, and savor his wife’s Puerto Rican cooking (as well as a good plate of Mexican food). His humor and passion for life are infectious, and he never misses an opportunity to share good food and a hearty laugh.

A cherished memory with his family paints a picture of the Piñero bond: on a trip to Eden Valley health center, Richard’s 7-year-old son accidentally sat on a cactus during a mountain hike, an ordeal that turned into a team effort of comfort and humor. Moments like these highlight the Piñero family’s strength, support, and ability to find laughter amid life’s prickly moments.

In Richard’s ministry and life, no one walks alone. With his wife by his side, whose compassionate heart inspires him, he brings dedication, warmth, and vision to every community he serves. Together, they stand as champions for Christ, driven by a desire to help every individual find their highest potential in Him.
