Summit Ridge Agape Feast

Friday evening, March 21, was a very special time for the Summit Ridge Church family. That evening, we gathered for foot washing and communion, followed by an Agape feast. Several of our ladies and men worked hard to make it a spiritual and special time.

Because our congregation is mainly well up in years (after all, we live in a retirement village), several members are no longer able to kneel to wash one another’s feet. Instead, we wash one another’s hands and have special prayers for one another.

After the foot washing, we carried lighted battery candles while passing quietly to the fellowship hall, singing “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.” The pastor and elders were seated at a head table, and the bread and juice were already at each place on the long tables in front of them.

After partaking of the sacraments, we were served a light but delicious meal. We praise God for His awesome love for us in giving His Son so we may have life.
