Broken Arrow Adventurers Club made a trek through the woods adjacent to our church to an apartment complex for assisted living. They planned to sing carols in the hallway but were invited to join the residents at their Christmas party downstairs. The residents were thrilled to hear the group sing the hymns and had many song requests. Six-year-old Lianah was requested to sing a solo, which she did to the delight of all. As they were leaving, a resident stopped them and recounted the Biblical Christmas story, word for word, from the book of Luke. The group made their way back to the church knowing they had blessed others and, in turn, had received an even greater blessing. The evening ended with lively games, fun times, and good memories.
