MORE GROWTH!

Sabbath, June 1, was a special day for the Choctaw church.  Our membership grew, and we dedicated a precious new baby to the Lord.

The worship service began with the baby dedication.  T. J. and Osiris Roberts dedicated their youngest son, little Levi, to the Lord.  It was a joy to see the whole family of five stand in front of the congregation and promise to raise Levi to love and serve God.

As the service continued, Pastor Anthony Adams spoke to the congregation about the upcoming baptism and the significance of adults dedicating their lives to God.

Dayle-Lynn Decker, whose son Parker was baptized a few weeks ago, joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church by profession of faith.  She gave a short testimony about her journey with Parker into God’s remnant church.

Ed Kramp and Ciria Henry told a bit about their experience, which began with Ciria visiting the Country Store at Oklahoma Academy to buy vegetarian food.  She shared how she and Ed became interested in  Adventist beliefs and began attending the Oklahoma Academy Church.  Eventually they came to the Choctaw Church, and immediately felt a kinship with our church family.  Oklahoma Academy students and staff visit our church quite regularly, often contributing to our services, so Ed and Ciria fit right in here!

Ed and Ciria studied with Pastor Adams and also attended the WORDShop II led by Elder Doug Baker.  This workshop helps people develop skills for doing textual and topical Bible studies. They soon expressed an interest in baptism, and the big day finally came!

It was a great joy to see an infant and three adults specially dedicated to God, all in one day.  Our congregation welcomed them all with open arms.  Our God is, indeed, an awesome God!
