Melshara Parks
President & Executive Assistant
Melshara Parks embodies unwavering dedication in her multiple roles at the Oklahoma Conference. With nearly two years of ministry experience, she serves as the Administrative Assistant to the President and Secretariat, Membership Clerk, Sterling Volunteer Background Check Coordinator, and ACS Co-Director. Her diverse background, which includes working with the Little Rock Police Department and even in New York City’s fashion industry, has uniquely shaped her approach to ministry.
Melshara's favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” reflects her resilient faith and determination, qualities that make her an indispensable part of the ministry team. Her commitment to a healthy lifestyle is evident in her love for vegan pizza, Thai cuisine, popcorn, and dairy-free ice cream. In her free time, she enjoys exercise, rest, and quality moments with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Describing herself as down-to-earth, a great conversationalist on relevant topics, and a “get it done” type of person, Melshara values independence and meaningful engagement in both her work and relationships.
Her family is her greatest source of pride and joy. She has been married to her husband, Marlowe, a pastor of a three-church district and the Community Service Director for the conference, for nearly 29 years. Together, they have two children: their son, Taji, who works for the National Park Service, and their daughter, Judaea, a stay-at-home mom to their granddaughter, Sophia.
