Brian Cowin
District Pastor
Pastor Brian L. Cowin has been faithfully serving in ministry since June 1, 2018, with experience in the Central Louisiana District, Coquille District in Oregon, Fayetteville District in Arkansas, and currently, Claremore, OK. His calling to pastoral ministry began in 1996, encouraged by his pastor after the loss of his first wife. This pivotal moment helped him see the path God had laid out for him, and he has been devoted to serving ever since.
Brian’s ministry is deeply shaped by his belief in a relationship with God that is fueled by love and trust. His favorite Bible verse, Romans 11:23, speaks to the power of faith and restoration: "And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." This reflects his passion for helping others experience the redemptive love of Christ.
In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and traveling. His love for Thai food adds a touch of spice to his otherwise family-focused and light-hearted lifestyle. His family is known for being welcoming, fun, and always finding time for connection and joy amidst the busyness of life.
Looking ahead, Brian’s greatest desire in ministry is to one day baptize his best friend from high school, a personal dream that highlights his heart for seeing others come to faith. He also believes the Adventist Church must become more centered on Christ, calling for greater unity in faith, fellowship, and truth. Brian’s leadership is driven by his commitment to bring people into deeper relationships with Jesus and to foster an environment of love and belonging within the church.
