Daniel Castellanos
Assistant Treasurer
For over 20 years, Daniel Castellanos has been a dedicated champion of financial stewardship, serving faithfully as an Assistant Treasurer with a passion that transcends spreadsheets and budgets. Known for his work ethic and unwavering commitment to excellence, Daniel’s journey has taken him across conferences and institutions—from Atlantic Union College to the Arkansas-Louisiana and Allegheny West Conferences. Each chapter in his ministry has added to his legacy of tireless service and gratitude for the opportunity to support those around him.
Daniel’s love for his work flows naturally from his core values, anchored in Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” This verse encapsulates his deep-seated belief in wisdom’s role as a divine guide for leading a purposeful life. His dedication to streamlining and improving payroll processes is not just about numbers; it’s about fostering a transparent, efficient, and supportive environment where each employee feels valued and appreciated.
Raised in a vibrant household of 12 siblings in Honduras, Daniel’s upbringing was defined by the kind of resilience, resourcefulness, and boundless love that he now channels into his work. His family faced times of scarcity, but they had more than enough unity, laughter, and spirit to carry them through. This early experience instilled in him the importance of making the most out of every situation and recognizing the treasure in simple things—a lesson he continues to hold close.
In his free time, Daniel embraces the peace of home, whether he’s reading a good book or catching up with friends. His eye for craftsmanship leads him to admire antique cars, and he values every chance to revisit the places of his youth. Yet, beyond his professional and personal pursuits, his greatest source of pride and gratitude is his family. As a father, he celebrates his children’s accomplishments—Lucero, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and Danny, a Registered Nurse in Texas.
For Daniel, service is more than a role; it’s a calling. His ambition to continually improve processes reflects his vision of making a difference in people’s lives, and his dedication makes him a quiet yet powerful hero who strengthens his community every day.
