Cindy Mercer
Prayer & Womens Ministries Director
Cindy Mercer serves as the Prayer and Women’s Ministries Director for the Oklahoma Conference, returning to this role in 2023 after previously leading Prayer Ministries from 2010 to 2014. She also served as the Prayer and Women's Ministries Director for the Carolina Conference from 2015 to 2018. Her deep passion for prayer and women's empowerment is evident in her dedicated work and heartfelt ministry.
Before transitioning to full-time ministry, Cindy worked as a registered nurse for 31 years, a role that strengthened her ability to care for others and offer compassion. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the great outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature as a reflection of God's majesty.
Cindy's favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 3:20, holds deep significance in her life. Through personal experiences of restoration and witnessing God's transformative power, she firmly believes in His ability to do far more than we could ever imagine. This conviction is mirrored in her ministry, where she fosters an environment of faith and prayer, making it a core part of her family's daily life as well.
Her ultimate dream in ministry is to create a safe haven for women and children suffering from domestic violence, offering them a sanctuary with full-time support and resources to help them rebuild their lives. Alongside her husband Rick, who pastors at Adventist Fellowship in Tulsa, Cindy also takes great joy in their growing family, which includes four sons, four daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. Through her ministry and family life, Cindy continues to inspire and uplift those around her, living with the expectation that God will always do great things.
