Ministerial
Philosophy & Mission
The Ministerial Department of the Oklahoma Conference is committed to fostering a pastoral community where love for one another begins with self-care (Matthew 22:39).
We are dedicated to supporting our pastors in fostering authentic relationships within their congregations, as we believe these connections form the foundation of effective ministry, empowering pastors to engage intentionally and nurture their churches and communities with genuine care.
Guided by the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), we prioritize evangelism and strive to provide ministerial resources with which our pastors can thrive in their mission to reach the lost within their local communities, uplifting the distinctive biblical truths embraced by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
At the core of our beliefs, we recognize the vital role of education in our mission. We firmly believe that education and redemption are intertwined, as articulated by Ellen G. White (Education, p. 30). Hence, we develop and facilitate partnership opportunities between pastors and educators in our church schools.
Through mentorship and mutual growth, we embody the biblical principle that "iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17), creating a strong network of support among our pastors.
