Ginlian Thang

Ginlian Thang, also known as Bawibawi, is a passionate pastor serving in the Tulsa district since June 2024. His journey into ministry reflects a heart dedicated to bringing people—especially young people—closer to Christ. Transitioning from the world of business to full-time ministry was a leap of faith guided by Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding," and Jeremiah 29:11, which assured him of God’s better plan.

Bawibawi’s favorite food is Asian cuisine, particularly chicken and rice. He enjoys a lively home life with his mom, brother, and extended family, where family meals are filled with joy and the laughter of his nieces and nephews.

In his free time, Bawibawi loves listening to music, playing guitar and piano, and helping others create podcasts. Recently, he has taken up pickleball, a sport he has grown to love.

A verse that defines his ministry is Matthew 28:19-20, the Great Commission. While still early in his ministry journey, Bawibawi has focused on media ministry, using videos to share the gospel and reach people in places he might not physically visit. His goal is to create engaging, Bible-centered content to reach young people on their social media platforms, providing resources that inspire faith and empower others to share the gospel.

Bawibawi dreams of building a church where everyone feels welcome to worship God without judgment, fostering an environment that reflects Christ’s love. His ultimate vision is to develop a media ministry hub that serves as a beacon for young people to meet Jesus, learn about the Bible, and share their faith with others.
