Damaris Prieto
Hispanic & Children's Assistant
Damaris Prieto is a dedicated Administrative Assistant for Hispanic Ministries and serves as an Assistant in Children and Women Ministries. With over three years of experience in her current role, she has built a strong foundation in ministry, previously working as a clerk and teaching elementary, junior, and high school.
Damaris has a deep appreciation for food, considering all cuisine delightful, though she particularly enjoys Italian. In her free time, she loves decorating, reading, and learning Hebrew, reflecting her creative and inquisitive spirit.
Her favorite Bible verse, 1 Corinthians 12:15, “So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well,” resonates with her commitment to giving her life to God and serving others wholeheartedly.
Family is a central theme in Damaris's life. She shares a heartwarming story about her daughter's wedding, where her new son-in-law discovered what it means to be part of their family: love, laughter, and God's guidance. From birthday surprises during a family trip to Florida to long road trips filled with touristy photo ops, Damaris emphasizes inclusivity and joy. She cherishes deep biblical discussions on Friday afternoons, creating a spiritually enriching environment as Sabbath begins. Recently, her brother experienced the warmth of family life in the U.S., and through his eyes, Damaris was reminded of the love and effort that have cultivated their welcoming, godly family atmosphere.
If she could accomplish anything in her position, Damaris dreams of traveling with Hispanic pastors' wives to a less fortunate country to preach and support those in need. Her heart is full of love for people, especially for her church members.
Damaris's daughter beautifully describes her mother as thoughtful and considerate, always making deliberate decisions to ensure that everyone feels included and valued. Damaris listens attentively, making others feel like the center of attention, a testament to her nurturing and inclusive nature. Despite acknowledging her family isn't perfect, she treasures it deeply, finding joy in its unique dynamics.
