Brian Ham
District Pastor
Brian Ham brings a unique blend of corporate experience and heartfelt passion to his new role as pastor of Adventist Fellowship in Tulsa. Officially stepping into full-time ministry in 2024, Brian's journey has been a testimony to God's grace and patience. Over the course of 22 years in the corporate world, he served faithfully in various church roles, including deacon, elder, lay pastor, and church and school board member in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma.
Though he felt a persistent calling to pastoral ministry for two decades, Brian sought to fulfill that calling in different ways, including through ministry-related activities. However, it wasn't until June 2024, through prayer and reflection, that God opened the door for full-time pastoral ministry. Brian's personal testimony of transformation and reliance on God's direction has become the cornerstone of his ministry.
Born and raised in Texas, Brian has a love for Tex-Mex cuisine. His faith journey, shaped by God’s patience, love, and grace, has given him a deep desire to reflect those same qualities in his ministry. As someone who became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian during his college years, he recognizes the importance of the church's unique message and feels called to share it in a Christ-centered and compassionate way.
In his free time, Brian enjoys camping, hiking, and playing music with his family. He also has a love for reading and playing disc golf. A verse that defines his ministry is Proverbs 16:9, "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps," a daily reminder of God's leading in his life.
Brian's ultimate ministry dream is to start a discipleship training program, similar to the Arise program, to help others deepen their faith and grow in their relationship with Christ. His "Adventist Hot Take" reflects his heart for compassion: while Adventists have focused on being right, there is a greater need to be loving and Christ-like in sharing the truth of the gospel and the Three Angels' Message.
